As most of us who feed Hummingbirds realize.. - minus temperatures bring an urgency to our feeding schedule. Today I spent several hours taking photos and thawing out slushy feeders. The air stayed around -5C all day with some breeze, so the nectar feeders began icing seriously after 3-4 hours. The warmed nectar was a real hit for the swarm of hummingbirds that have currently gathered here. Please remember if you are feeding these tiny creatures, they need your help to keep going.
