 Drake Hooded Merganser The sun actually came out for a visit today... So instead of being inside as usual, I grabbed my camera gear and spent a couple hours at my favourite little pond. Right away I saw a new visitor there. Today is the 1st time I had ever seen a Hooded Merganser at this location. What a bright little amazing bird! Great fun & frustration trying to get a decent photo!!! :)

Backyard Beauty! She strolled past our backyard this morning... A female Blacktail Deer (Mule Deer subspecies) As usual these deer are often shy & sneaking through the shadows, so heres some shots at f/4 and ISO 8000 handheld at 1/320th (U can tell from her ear movements.. she was listening to the clicks) :)           Surf Scoters .. Shown here diving for lunch and then enjoying a fresh clam! imagine a bird gulping down a whole clam, then able to crush and digest it!   Tail Shake  Mizz Mallard'  Wood Duck swim  My fav of today... Isn't she lovely! |
