   This small cousin to the midwest Mule Deer lives from Alaska costal areas South to California. Columbian Black-Tailed Deer ... Here on Vancouver Island the annual rut is just beginning and will last for 10 days to a few weeks... So be careful driving because these animals will dart out in front of you without notice!!!

They live from sea level to more than 10,000 feet in many types of habitats, reproducing in aquatic settings. They occur in shades of greens or browns and can change colors over periods of hours and weeks.          The Summer Salvia is still a hotspot for Hummingbirds and each plot is fiercely protected by a dominant male   |
