Greetings to the lovely folks and their dog who I spoke with as I was set up by this Hawthorne bush taking photos of these Robins!

Its amazing how different light affects an image.. All these recent Hummingbird photos were shots of the same little moulting Anna's Hummingbird! He is the boss bird of my deckside feeders and very photogenic, so I have lots of opportunity to click!
Our resident Cooper's was back in the yard again for a minute.. This is one of a number of very hasty shots taken through many small branches...
Not many photos lately (my apologies) as I am trying to diligently finish a few bench projects that need to be shipped out!
I do take breaks, however (often) and today as I was observing Hummingbirds in the sunshine, I heard a scuffle in the trees out back and the sound of a squirrel scolding. A few seconds later, a Coopers Hawk hame busting out with no lunch and sat close to me, though behind branches and a gate. He/She was fiercely watching for any birds. Then gone a few seconds later. These tiny birds are often afflicted with mites that make their skin itchy.. Here's a set showing Sir A doing quite a scratch.. Amazing the contortions he makes to scratch that itch!
