Scoters are cool!

This morning the sun found the Saanich Peninsula for a few hours and it was heavenly.  All the creatures I met or observed at Pat Bay seemed content and even joyful!   The Scoters were particularly active , moving from place to place , feeding and interacting.
I saw a pair of Arctic Loons, many Scaup, some Buffleheads (including 1 sweet hen) Canada Geese, of course  and a number of Goldeneye ducks. The rain set in after lunch and turned our sunny Peninsula into the twilight zone again.. but I was grateful for my 2 hours of wonderful light!   Only a few days now till Christmas...
