Scoter Trail from Dec 31st .. additions Happy 2017!

This tiny tiny bird was such a treat to photograph ... Very fast moving  and almost elusive, most people just see them as a flicker moving through tree leaves.  This guy stopped in the open to give me a chance to take his poortrait!  Thank you Ruby Crowned Kinglet!!! ​

Drake Goldeneye Ducks diving at Pat Bay in N Saanich! A treat to watch them in their black n white tuxedos. :)

A new species for me to observe.. These are Common Scoters (White Wing) and I was surprised and very pleased to see them amongst the Surf Scoters!
