In contrast to yesterdays dancing Cranes... todays outing was conflict after conflict. Bright and early this morning I witnessed an air to air battle of titans.. A female Osprey went after a female Bald Eagle... (They have nests very close to one another, so this kind of thing may just be inevitable) I tried my best to get good shots, but sun was shining brightly and the battle was all around me so lighting varied a lot... Still.. you'll see some of the action. The history of the world seems to be defined in conflict of 1 type or another... No different for humans it seems than creatures! Meanwhile back at the Osprey nest .... Another Osprey pair take a close look at the nest and are NOT welcome whatsoever!!! They fly off to another Osprey platform and ... everyone is surprised at who is living there... Me as well! These images shot from several hundred yards away!
