For those of you who regularly check my blog, it won't come as any surprise that I truly love birds and nature. These tiny Hummingbirds are truly a favourite, but as I take time to photograph different species, the one I am studying at the time also becomes a favourite.
This Young Prince has been notably in my view since December 2017 and I have observed him daily. The pictures today show the final stages of his coming of age feathers... He has become a "full fledged" adult Anna's and has taken the prime territory in my yard, guarding 3 feeders. Its a full time job for this 3.5 gram wonder, as many rivals and interlopers drop in each day to test him and vie for this space.
I want to thank all of you (around 500/week) who stop in here.. It means a great deal to me knowing there are folks out there interested and curious about these creatures.
All the best ... TerryV ...
